Construction method of geomembrane

The geomembrane construction method includes the following important steps:

Geomembrane connection and fixing. Use welding, bonding or mechanical connection to connect the seams of the geomembrane. Welding is the commonly used connection method to ensure that the joints are firm and free of leaks.

Protection and Repair. After the construction is completed, protect the geomembrane from external environmental damage, such as setting up a cover protective layer or laying a berm. Regularly inspect and maintain the geomembrane, and timely repair broken or leaking places.

Fill soil and anchor edges. Fill the interior of the geomembrane with soil, taking care to avoid over-compaction and to maintain soil aeration and permeability. After filling with soil, anchor the edges of the geomembrane again to ensure a tight bond with the ground and prevent leakage.

Detection and Maintenance. Perform leakage testing after completing construction to ensure that the geomembrane is leak-free. Regularly check and maintain the geomembrane, and repair or replace it in time if it is damaged.
