At present, domestic old landfill expansion is roughly divided into three categories: horizontal expansion, vertical expansion and steep slope expansion.
Horizontal expansion:
Horizontal expansion is a horizontal expansion in the vicinity of an old landfill, with a new trash dam and a liner system for the expanded area, utilizing the original old landfill while raising it vertically, so that a larger capacity can be had by expanding a smaller footprint horizontally from the vicinity of the old landfill.
Vertical expansion:

Steep slope expansion:
Steep Slope Expansion Steepen the slope of the landfill body and the height of the landfill by laying geotechnical reinforcing and consolidating materials on the side slopes of the old landfill body, so as to realize the expansion of the old landfill body.
